Motorcycle Swap Meet & Hot Summer Cruise
Sep. 6, 2015 at Aomi Parking Lot in Odaiba, Tokyo
Towards the end of summer every year in Odaiba, Tokyo, Mooneyes presents a small get together for motorcycles simply called the Motorcycle Swap Meet. Over the years, they included a little extra, called Hot Summer Cruise which featured pre 1948 Hot Rods. This year, it was the 10th Annual Motorcycle Swap Meet, 10th Anniversary and the turnout was spectacular with a record number of spectators and swap meet vendors. It was held on Sunday September 6, 2015 at Aomi Parking lot in Odaiba, Tokyo. To start off the day, MOONEYES Staff meet at Mooneyes Area-1 in Honmoku, Yokohama at 5AM. From there, they take a short cruise to the event location.
Once the swap meet is ready, swap meet and catering vendors arrive to set up. Soon after, the free parking set aside for motorcycle riders will fill completely up to maximum capacity. Along with the motorcycle parking is the Hot Summer Cruise featuring a hand full of pre 1948 Hot Rods.
The swap meet area was filled with bargain hunters and the parking area was filled with spectators by midday. With a record number of attendance this year and over 120 swap meet vendors, there was something for everybody.
Helping spread the word for the 24th Annual Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2015 (HCS2015) is this year’s campaign “Save the Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show” which is, if you don’t know, a continuing part of the “Shizukani” campaign started last year to raise the consciousness of noise pollution in the surrounding area of the Pacifico Yokohama (where HCS2015 takes place). We have also started to see the hashtags #hcs2015 and #savetheyokohamahotrodcustomshow being used by many people on Instagram. Thank you for your support!
With everyone that was there from all over, the swap meet was the best yet. Thank you to everyone for spending the day with MOONEYES at the 10th Anniversary Motorcycle Swap Meet. We hope to see more and more next year!
