Didn't
we all have a great time? Every year, the ALL ODDS
NATIONALS is infamous for being the rainy car show.
The meteorologist said it was going to rain cats and
dogs that day, but guess what? The sun came out, smiled
upon us, and warmed the day up. Some of us even got
sunburnt. The weather was good, made people hungry,
and the caterers ran out of food. I feel sorry for
all you who couldn't get a piece of food at the show!
The ALL ODDS NATIONALS is also known as one of the
most relaxed shows we hold. It started out a little
slower than usual, us thinking that it was going to
be one quiet ALL ODDS NATIONALS this year. But once
we started tallying, we had 141 entries, and 41 for
the Cedric Day.

The "Cool Cedric,"
1965 WP31 series Estate Wagon w/ Mr. Ogane
"LONG DISTANCE"
went to Mr. Mikami, on his '76 CROWN (MS82)

The
Cedric Day consisted of clear cut development styles
in each category that just came about naturally. The
230/330 series had their rears stuck high in the air,
sort of like a muscle car, most likely because of
the decade they were first produced in or maybe just
the Glory Rod. The show mostly consisted of Coupes
and Sedans more than Stationwagons. The Y30 series
were invited because the year embargo was lifted,
and they seemed to of just gushed through with 13
entries. |
| The
130 series seemed to keep stock, and came down a total
of 9 cars. The 430s and the Y31s were in the minority,
but had one shaped like a taxi that was cool. There
were only 2 30 series that entered showing us how
difficult it is to upkeep one. This year, a 1965 WP31
series Estate Wagon won the "Cool Cedric" award. Congratulations
Ogane san! |

We
had a lot of early to late entries for the ALL ODDS
NATIONALS show itself. From CROWNs, Debonairs, Datsun
SP310s, to the 117 coupe, the show had a lot of cars
you wouldn't see all together. There were also multiple
entries this year such as, a car with a motorcycle,
car with go-ped, 2 cars and a Bromer both painted
yellow tartan. Another thing that turned out was a
group of Mightyboys, and Stepvans. Don't know if they
are friends or what, but it was strange. There were
also a lot of pinstriped cars, pinstriped by themselves.
Almost felt like something out of an American midwest
car club. Keep up the good work! |

40
swapmeet booths were erected, almost turning the show
into a mini mall. Model cars, back issues, old car
parts, even cars were on sale for disgustingly low
prices. The other award, the "LONG DISTANCE" award
went to the 1976 MS82 CROWN Wagon which brought Mikami
san, all the way from Sapporo, Hokkaido(Northernmost
Island of Japan). |
The whole day
was just filled with great weather, and filled with lots
of fun loving people. Let's do all our shows like this!
GO with MOON!!
