Being the first show by MOONEYES to have motorcycle entries, there were no genre qualifications. Some had race queens, choppers, rockers, big scooters, the list will go on to infinitum. It's interesting how it's going to turn into.

San Onofre showed up in one corner of the hall, at the Surf and Rod booth. With a Woody Wagon parked outside the hut, you could just smell the CA breeze coming your way.

The Hotwheels T-bucket was sold out in minutes this year at the TORNADO 2002 booth. The ticketpick seemed to go quickly as well, with great prizes such as Treasure hunt series and so forth. Did you win any?

The Mini car/Model Car booths, located near the exit of the Tornado 2002 booth, was just packed with lots of kids.

11th annual YOKOHAMA HOT RODECustom SHOW 2002 FLASH NOOZ #1

While everyone else in the world is in their holiday moods, Japan's greatest custom show, the YOKOHAMA HOT ROD-Custom SHOW was held on December 1st. There were about a thousand people waiting outside in the rain.
The feature I could most likely say was Billy Gibbons of ZZTOP. Him and his ZZ funk one, and Kopperhed was just swarming with fans. The irony between the rusted ZZ funk one and the shiny Kopperhed made it an interesting duo. I was afraid of the big metal skull from the tank, weren't you?

From SO-CAL, Jimmy Shine and the Franken Shine and Harley. The Franken Shine is a bare metal car, and Jimmy drove it into the hall. These two duos, both one being rough and the other smooth, must be a new concept such as to share the mere balance between Radical & Smooth.
The line also was a monsterous one. But the superstars just kept on signing autographs, and never showed an inch of fatigue from the trip.

Most of you must of seen the DragsterII driven by Shige Suganuma drive thru. It's one heck of a ride isn't it? By the way, the little DragsterII pedal car was an entry vehicle made by Mr.Tamaki of HOTROD Jewelry. Thank you Tamaki-san!

Doug Miller produced an yellow Accord this year, the RICE ROD. Being the first compact made by MOONEYES, it was really popular by youngsters. The squeeze balls were also a hit too!
Wildman Ishii taught the As Bs and Cs of pistriping at the Pinstripe College. All who missed out, we are sorry! Since it was so popular, we might start doing something of that sort in the near future.

Rockin' Jelly Bean and his band, Jackie and the Cedrics made the crowd roar and twist at the show, with 2 ups on the stage. The autograph session here also made a long line, and those sexy bikini girls were so gorgeus!
All went well this year at the show, and I hope everyone had a good time there. Next week, we will give you an update of the results of all the awards.
