The 16th Annual YOKOHAMA HOT ROD Custom Show(HCS) was held on Sunday December 2nd as last show of the year 2007 at Pacifico Yokohama Convention Center with expanded space than last year.

Well, the HCS is well known worldwide for its glamour and have lots of visitors from all over the world. There were more than 100 people joined us from U.S.A., France, Australia, England, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Holland, Belgium, Korea, Hong Kong. We had motorcycle entries and vendors from abroad and it really has become the premier Show.

Among guests, the "Sinners" gathered this year again to show off their master piece right by the entrance. Starting with Rob Fortier's '53 Chevy, Kutty Noteboom's wife Jamie's Triumph "Desert Rose" and Kutty's "A Sinners Prayer" HD, "MOON Rocket" built by Cole Foster, though it was not posted on poster, Rico Fodrey with just finished HD Shovel Head and Chopper Dave brought in his brand new HD with S&S motor. In the "Rat Island" section which was added last year for pre '48 rod and custom, there were artists such as Line Dr., Skratch, Keith Weesner, Dan Collins, Harpoon, The Pizz, The Dice Magazine from England, Ron Covell showing his HOW TO for second time, Bean Bandit Car Club, "TIKI BEAT" by Marcus from Australia showing off their master piece and merchandise. Live pin striping demo also performed by some of them.

On the other side of Rat Island was MOONEYES "OCIR" Booth with just finished NOVA in display. "CROWN Classics" displayed 2 of 1-JZ Motor swapped Toyota Crown 50 series. With hood shut, it looks though they were stock. When you visit MOONEYES Area-1 next time, please take a closer look at them.

Moving to the center of show space from OCIR and CROWN Classics, on left side Super Co. Customs Trevelen showed HD with Knuckle Head "El Perigroso". Engraved heads, air cleaner, points cover, and eye catching paint scheme. On the other side, Chica Custom Cycles displayed "Unicorn from Hell". Low and Long, shape of gas tank is characteristic about his HD.


There were more. 2006 automotive Best Of the Show Winner '50 Ford was displayed, and Champion "Builder's Choice" in New Order Chopper Show in Kobe Ace Motorcycle HD was also on display. The motorcycle Best of the Show winner was Hide Motorcycle with HD EVO, and it will be on display at next New Order Chopper Show.

Celebrating 75th year of "deuce", Deuce Factory Co. hosted "Deuce Day". Invited guest 1932 Ford "Devil Deuce" was at center part of the hall along with 5windows, Roadster, Pick up. Some 32 deuces were lined up.

In 16 years, there have been many well known cars and people introduced. The show offers so much to look at, so rich, it has become the must see show for many. Next year show will be held at the same place on Sunday December 7th, 2008. We look forward to seeing you!
