We head straight to preparation after landed in LAX and I brought many JDM Japan parts, NOS parts and
New to be Released weather strip parts for vent window.
LA について早速準備です。今回は日本からも JDM ? 仕様の部品や、NOS パーツ、
New Release 予定のウェザーストリップパーツなど盛りだくさんで向かいました。

This years "All Toyota Fest" had over 400 entry cars,
MOONEYES made entry for shop, V8 Kannon Sedan & RS46 CROWN Pick up.
It was a perfect weather for event and I drove V8 Crown Kannon sedan cruising on
Freeway to the show space.
今回の“All Toyota Fest”は、エントリー車約 400 台で、
MOONEYES は、Shop と V8 観音セダン＆ RS 46 丸ピックの 2 台でエントリー。
天候もばっちりなイベント日和となり、V8 観音セダンでフリーウェイをクルーズして会場入りしました。

This year at show space, some 80s Supra showed well among 80s and 90s Supra which were
lined up as various owners clubs came and on the other side was filled with Scion short box size cars
with some radical customs and others with eye catching colors.
Among cars parked at ocean side, Old school Museum condition original cars such as Kannon Crown,
Gold 2000GT and Celica from 70s, and Old school 80s "Hashiri-Ya"street racer style
86 series Levin and Treno were seen which all were on grass with ocean on back ground.
Near the main stage on little hill side were filled with TE27, Cressida, Land Cruiser,
Rare MarkII, Century, Publica and Stout showed different site.
今年は80s ＆ 90s スープラのオーナーズクラブが複数集まり、
ずらりと並べられた中に 80s のスープラも存在感を出している一方、





日本でいう BB など SCIONのShort Box 系が、向かう会場の逆サイドを埋め尽くし、
ラデイカルなカスタムや、鮮やかな色遣いで目を惹き、

また海側には、Old SchoolなMuseum Condition のオリジナル車が、Toyota Museum から観音セダン、
初参加の Goldの2000GT、こちらも複数のオーナーズクラブの 70s Celica、
ある意味 Old Schoolな80's 走り屋系 86 のグループなど、
海をバックに芝生の上で映える姿にカルフォルニアをうらやましく思い、

そして会場のステージ近く、小山のある芝生エリアでは、TE27、Cressida、Land Cruiser、
レア続きで、MarkII, センチュリー、パブリカ、スタウトなどがならびなんとも不思議な光景を華っていました。

This year at Lexsus, super car concept LFA showed up. which caught peoples attention and
Formula 1 like engine sound was able to hear.
今回 LEXSUS ブースには、スーパーカーコンセプトのLFAも登場！常に人だかりができていて、
スタッフがエンジンをかけてはその F1 に消音機をつけたようなエンジン音を披露していました。

In Parking lot side, the VIP style and "Zokusha" style like were seen, RC circuit and
Woofer sound system were able to experience in this moving truck which all were able to see in
One spot like circus, unique experience only in California.
会場 Parking 側エリアでは、真似っ子 VIP 仕様と族車仕様もありつつ、ラジコンサーキットや
WOOFER　Audio体感移動車など、ちょっとサーカスを連想する異次元な組み合わせもカルフォルニアならではでした。

"Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show" is now in progress to get ready for this year.
I took spin around to say Hi to the Guests.　
さて、
本格的に Web 告知も始まった今年の“Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show”ですが、
早速、Guest にご挨拶行ってきました。

Went to say Hi to Mr. Robert Williams and Mrs. Suzanne Williams at Chatsworth
near Burbank Choppers are located. Always progress on cars and arts.
This time saw progress on Suzanne's 1915 Ford with New Tire and
Painted wheels are assembled and Robert had new sculpture was in progress.
All ready excited about limited edition T-shirts and Skate board for the Show.

Chatworth という Burbank Choppers の近郊に Robert WilliamsとSuzanne Williams にご挨拶！

いつでもクルマとアートが進行していて、今回は Suzanne の 1915 Ford に New Paint のホイルとタイヤが組み込まれ、
また、Robert も新しいスカルプチャーをスタートしていました。
今年の HCS にはどんな限定T-シャツやスケートデッキを作ろうかと今からワクワクしています！

This years HCS feature motorcycle is " Multi".
So visited DUANE the hand made works leather with the HONDA CB 750 chopper.
This year Duanes 2 bike will arrive to HCS. One is completed last year "Pink Taco!" and
Other is Funkenstein build couple years ago, which will be taken apart for detail polishing.
You can tell his will to make better quality.
His Leather work business is getting very popular.
今年のバイクのフィーチャーは、“マルチ”！
ということで CB750 のチョッパーで有名なレザー職人 DUANE にもご挨拶。



今年の HCS で来日する Duane のバイクは、2台、前年出来上がった Pink TACO と
数年経つ Funkenstein CB はバラして磨きが入ります。常に良い物を目ざす彼ならではです。
ちなみにレザーワークは、ますます盛況のようでした。

During this trip, I went up north in Salinas to see Cole Foster.
12hours and approx 1,000 miles. I felt strange Driving cross the mountains and hills feels oppressed
than the narrow freeway in Tokyo. Through the endless flat field and over the mountain in far back,
I finally made it to Salinas in midnight of Saturday night.
そしてこの旅も Cole Foster コールフォスターに会いにサリナスまで北上！ 往復12時間の約1,000マイル！

途中の山道が首都高より圧迫感のあるのは気のせいでしょうか？
どこまで行っても地平線が 360 度見える畑＆遠目の山を抜けて、サリナスについたのは土曜の深夜でした。



Usually Coles house is quiet like his neighbors but that night had many visitors,
Jeff Decker with his fresh done Vincent, Dean from Dice Magazine, Jason Phares who visited HCS in 2008 from Oakland.
BRANDON and ARRON who worked at Coles before, every one went to Old bike show near Salinas from early morning and
Were kicking back at Coles' place.
いつもは周りとともに静まり返っているコール邸には、Vincent を積んでいた Jeff Decker、DicE Magazine Dean、Oakland から
2008 HCS に来日した Jason Phares、もとコールのもとで働いていた Brandon、Aaron と
サリナス近郊で行われた Old Motor Cycle Show に集まっていた面々がコール邸でゆったりとくつろいでいました。

Cole showed me his Garage, Econo-line was always up on stand before but now driving on ground, Very impressive.
He will take it apart again for paint after he checked its driving and how it moves.
Cole makes it sounds so easy but its so much work and just impressive again how he does all carefully.
The condition before paint is already very nice and that goes same to all his work including
36 Ford "Meatali coupe" when it was bare metal and impressed every one.
I wish one day I can have car like that and I envy Dan Wood and Kirk Hemet from METALICA.
ガレージでは、いつもジャッキアップされていた Econoline が、組みあがり実動している姿を見て、感動。

また不具合を治したらバラして塗装と、とても大変なことを当たり前にこなす丁寧さにも感動。
この塗装前の時点で凄く綺麗に見えるのは今年の 2010 HCS に来日する予定の
'36 Ford“Metalicoupe”のベアメタルの時も同じでしたが、本当に誰もを唸らせるレベルで、
いつかはこんなクルマが欲しいとDan WoodsやMETALICAのKirk Hemetがうらやましいです！

Js'HD was also there among cars and bikes in garage.
Dean from DicE Magazine said may be exaggerated but this cover bike of "Chopper town"
and Jason Jessie's Pan head HD started all these, and so I joined Dean to visit JJ while
he was taking photo shoot for DicE Magazine.
そんな中、またいました“Chopper Town” DVD カバーになった J の HD。
Dean 曰く、この HD Pan Head と Jason Jessieの HD Pan Head “Black Tibetans”で
このすべてが始まったと過言していましたが、この後一緒に Jason Jessie 邸にご挨拶に行きました。
海の眺めが最高で、どんどん大きくなっていく Jason の Turkey と Chickenに追いかけられながら




In great Ocean view and while chased by endless growing Turkey and Chicken, the steel shot was taken.
Helped on taking riding shot for Dean and finally it was getting started for this years HCS.
