HCS is 1 week away!!

USA から の HCS Bikes & Cars が無事横浜港に到着しました。

Hot Rod Custom Show まで11日

Hot Rod Custom Show まで11日、 レイアウトも終わり今日は必要書類の封筒詰め、 明日25日 (木) エントリー受理書を郵送予定です。
明日には USA からの車やバイクが入港予定、 色々慌ただしくなってきました。
There are 11 more days until the Hot Rod Custom Show. The layout has been finished and the remaining preparation for sending confirmations will be completed today. Tomorrow, 25th (Thurs), we’ll send out all the entry confirmation packets.
Tomorrow the containers from the USA will arrive with bikes and cars and this is where things start to happen real fast.

HCSまで2週間になりました


Hot Rod Custom Show (HCS) まであと2週間、 時間はあっと言う間にすぎて行 きます。
明日、会場レイアウトを決めてエントリーの皆様に受理書をお送りする予定です。
ギリギリになってしまってすみません。
そしてこれから色々な事を決めて行かなくてはなりません。
こんなギリギリになってと思われるかもしれませんが、 何時もそうなんです。

The Hot Rod Custom Show (HCS) is just about two week away. Time goes by in the blink of an eyes.
Tomorrow, we finalize the layout of the show area and begin sending out entrant acceptance confirmations.
Sorry to everyone for cutting it so close to the event.
There are many more things that need to be decided on before the event.
You never think that it will be so close to the date but it seems to always be so.

去年のLGT Party
搬入日の土曜夜に開催される LGT Party は約400名位の方々が参加されるようです。
海外からの方々や、 普段なかなか話す機会の無い方々と楽しい時間を持って頂 けたらと思い始まったこのParty、
ここ数回、結構いい雰囲気で楽しんで頂いているようです。
The LGT Party that is held on Saturday night, a day before the show is up to about 400 people.
The guests and many visitors from abroad, people I don’t get to see very often and many others have a great time together at this party, every time we have this party it is an excellent experience and I think everyone has a genuine good time.

ゲストの方々が提供してくれる物が当たるラッフルもあります楽しみですね。
更にこのLGT Party後、 Dice Magazine主催のDice Partyがstudio bittersであり、
Garage Bar 1961ではBean Banditsを囲んだBean Banditsも開催されるそうです。

The guests are the main part of the party and we have a raffle during the party too.
After the party for the past couple years, there has been an after party put together by Dice Magazine, appropriately called DicE Party and this year it’s going to be at Studio Bitters. Also Bean Bandits are having a party at Garage Bar 1961 on the same night as well so it will be a interesting night for sure.

夜、 横浜の繁華街に繰り出すより楽しそうなイベントがありますから
2日間どっぷり HCS ずけになるのも良いかもしれませんね。
HCS を中心にいろいろな事があるのは楽しい限りです。
横浜での2日間を存分に楽しんで下さい!
There are a lot of things to see and to around the Yokohama area at night including the event that lasts all day on Sunday.
It will be the weekend of HCS to have a good time during the entire 48 hours or more.
Don’t forget that there’s a lot of things to do and see inside HCS on Sunday starting with the ride in in the morning.
Enjoy the two day festivities in Yokohama to your heart’s content!

19回 Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2010

19回 Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2010まであと数週間、
今回も過去最多の件数となり
昨年同様パシフィコ横浜全ホール使い開催されます。
やっとエントリーの最終確認も取れましたのでこらからレイアウトを始めます。
これが結構パズルなんです。
エントリー受理書等の郵送は 22日 (月) を予定しています。
ぎりぎりで申し訳けありません。
もう少々お待ち下さい。
The 19th Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2010 is only a few more weeks away.
This year’s event has more entrants than previous years and just like last year we’ll have the entire Pacifico Yokohama Hall for the event. We finally finished confirming all of the entries and requirements and have begun the layout of the show.
It’s much like a complex jigsaw puzzle and takes some time to complete.
The entry confirmation letters are in process and mailing out by Monday November 22. Sorry for cutting it close but please be patient, they are on the way.

2004 Mercedes SL600に 1961 Mercedes 190SL の Body を載せたと言う。
魅力ある古い Body に新しめの機関系これに限りますね。

MOONEYES USA の電気関係は (Electricity)

10820 S. Norwalk Blvd. Santa Fe Spring のこの建物を Take Over してそろそろ 20年。
先週は会社全体の電気がシャットダウンし 修理代になんと $3,000, Machine Shop のも修理したら $10,000 なんてとんでもない! とは言ってもいったい誰が何時何を修理した分からないし、少なくても MOONEYES USA を始めてから何もしていなのでどの位古いか分からない。
It’s been almost 20 years since taking over the building at 10820 S. Norwalk Blvd. Santa Fe Spring.
Last week the electricity on the entire property shut down and the cost of repairs were $3,000 and that then the cost of repairs on the machine shop came to $10,000 which gave me a shock! But then, come to think of it, who, what or when… no one knows or recalls if even a small repair was ever made at MOONEYES USA before now. We don’t even know how old the electrical wiring is for that matter.

最近になり Computer 関係の調子も悪くなってきたので配線は自分達でその方が安い。
Leonard が屋根裏に入り新たな配線を引く事になったが配線の追加追加でやってきたビルはどこもかしこも配線だらけ、どれが生きているのか死んでいるかも分からないからまた新しい配線を引く、この繰り返し。
Lately, the computer connections have been bad and there were a lot of Do-It-Yourself jobs with LAN cables here and there. We’d always have Leonard climb up into the attic and run yet another cable line through the building. Next thing we knew there were LAN cables coming out all over the place. For some reason the wire would die out, so we’d just run another cable again.

このコードを屋根裏に張り巡らす訳だけど屋根裏をこの様で。
We would run a cable through the attic and pull it through but the attic looks like this.


低い梁は Dean MOON 時代の梁、高い方が MOONEYES USA になってからの梁、屋根の上に屋根を作ったから
昔のより屋根が高い。古い梁が通行を妨げる。
The low beams are from Dean MOON days and the taller beams are after becoming MOONEYES USA. The roof was built on top of the roof so the older one is lower and harder to pass through.


この様にどれが生きているのかさっぱり分からないから新しい線を引く。
こんなのありですかね?
With all these cables and most of them not working, we end up pulling a new cable.
Is that even logical at this point?

Cobra の 1号車が Dean MOON’s Shop, MOON Equipment Company。
つまりここ 10820 S. Norwalk Blvd. Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670 で
作られた事は BOOK とか 写真等で知っていましたが 現車を見るのは初めてでした。
427 か 289 どっちが欲しいかと聞かれれば 289 ですね。
The very first Cobra made at Dean Moon’s shop at MOON Equipment Company. In short, at 10820 S Norwalk Blvd., Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670 is where this was built, I’ve seen photos and print in books but this is the first time I have ever seen it in real life.
If I was asked which I prefer, a 427 or 289, no doubt I would pick 289.

SEMA

SEMA Show 会場に展示されていた Hi-Lux、 同じ車が MOONEYES Area-1 にもあります。
This old Toyota Hilux was on display outside the SEMA Show. We have one of these for sale at MOONEYES Area-1 in Yokohama.
