Race on Sunday!

Super American Festival、 3年振りに Camaro を走らせました。
残念ながら Camaro も Vega の DNQ (Did Not Qualify)と言う結果に終わってしまいました。
多分これが今年最後の走行になるかもしれません。

It’s been about 3 years since we took the Camaro out to Super American Festival.
Although there was no trouble, unfortunately both the Camaro and the Vega were DNQ (Did Not Qualify). This is probably the last time I’ll be able to race this year.

Bon Odori Festival 2013 at YC&AC

来週の土日, 8/3 & 8/4 は YC&AC で37回目の Bon Odori Festival です。
入場料は無料、17:00~21:00, Intentional Foods and Drinks で
夏の夜を楽しんで下さい。

Next week Saturday/Sunday (8/3-8/4) at YC&AC is their 37th Annual Bon Odori Festival. It’s open to the public and free to join, from 5PM-9PM. There will be international food and drinks.
Come enjoy the summer night at this event.

This Sunday July 28 at Fuji Speedway is the Super American Festival. It’s been a long time but I’ll run the red Camaro there this weekend.

El Mirage

今年の HCS2013 へどうしても呼びたい 1台が Old Crow Speed Shop の Belly Tank です。
オーナーの Bobby Green は Bellytank は持って行けないけど El Mirage に居ると言う事だったので久しぶりに El Mirage へ行ってきました。

One that I wanted to invite to HCS2013 was Old Crow Speed Shop’s Belly Tank.
The owner, Bobby Green said that although the Bellytank would not be going, he would be at El Mirage on the weekend so we took a trip out to El Mirage.

この道を抜けると Lake Bed と言われる所へ入ります。

Driving off of this road, it’s said that this whole area is a lake bed.

Ramp Truck が良いですね。

For some reason, old Japanese trail bikes match well at Bonneville and El Mirage.

MQQNEYES USA Open House and Kustom Kulture II at Huntington Museum

7/13 (土)、 MQQNEYES USA の Open House が開催されました。
夕方からは Huntington Beach Museum で “Kustom Kulture II” が開催され
忙しい一日となりました。
MQQNEYES Dragster も完成。

On 7/13 (Sat), MQQNEYES USA Open House was held in Santa Fe Springs, CA.
In the evening that same day, “Kustom Kulture II” opening reception took place at Huntington Beach Museum.
It was a busy day.
The MQQNEYES Dragster is also complete again.

The sidewalk was crowded as you can see but no one uses them so it wasn’t a problem.

夕方からは Huntington Beach Museum で “Kustom Kulture II” Grand Opening Party が開催されました。
1992 に Laguna Beach Museum で開催された “Kustom Kulture” 世界中に広がったKustom Kulture は 20年前にこのイベントが開催された事から始まったのです。

In the evening we headed for the Huntington Beach Museum for the grand opening party of “Kustom Kulture II”.
In 1992, 20 years ago, “Kustom Kulture” was held at the Laguna Beach Museum and propelled Kustom Kulture in the worldwide status that it’s known today.

勿論 Mr. G の作品もあったのですが 人混みが凄く写真撮れませんでした。
ここに展示されたと言う事は歴史です。
最終日 8/24 には彼らによるデモがあるそうです。

Getting to exhibit artwork at this event is historical.
On the last day of this showing, 8/24, I heard they will have a demo.

Dean MOON が撮影した沢山のフィルムや写真が MOON Family から寄付されました。
これから全部をチェックしますが 凄い量なのでどの位時間が掛かるか想像できません。
特に 16mm や 8mm による動画が多いので何が収まっているか楽しみです。

The MOON Family donated a huge lot of film footage and photos shot by Dean MOON.
I will have to go through every piece and check it all but there are so many photos I have no idea how long this is going to take. There are a lot of 16mm and 8mm reels of video footage so it will be fun to see what they hold.

本日と明日、 7月6日(土) & 7日(日) に開催される、 Yokohama Country & Athletic Club (YC&AC) の “2nd Annual Rock & Roll Independence Day” party です！

Today and tomorrow, July 6 (Sat) & 7 (Sun), the “2nd Annual Rock & Roll Independence Day” party will be held at Yokohama Country & Athletic Club (YC&AC).

今日、 6日(土) には アメリカン (フラッグ) フットボールの試合が開催され
明日、 7日(日) は Hot Rod & Custom の Car Show は開催されます。
その他ライブバンド、 ゲーム、 ベンダーブース、 そして International Food and Drinks は土日に 2日に渡り楽しめます。
入場料は (大人) 1,000円 是非お越し下さい。
時間がありましたら ぜひ遊びに来て下さい。お待ちしております。

On Saturday (7/6) they will feature an American Flag Football mini tournament.
On Sunday (7/7) the event will feature a Hot Rod & Custom Car Show.
Of course, both days will have live bands, games, vendor booths as well as international food and drinks. It will be fun for the entire family.
General Admission is 1,000 yen (adults).
If you are free, come and enjoy one or both days on the YC&AC lawn. We’ll be there waiting for you.
