Grand National Roadster Show (GNRS) 2016 開幕です。
窓越しに見えるのは日本からエントリーのマーキュリーです。

Grand National Roadster Show will start from Friday 29th ~ Sunday 31st January 2016 at Pomona, CA.
You can see this nice Merc from Japan through the window.

シニアメンバーの生存確認会が横浜中華街で開催され取り敢えずメンバー全員の安否の確認は取れました。 会の名前は “Camshafters” まだあるのです。
中華街を後は本牧の Bar “IG”

We had a senior member “confirmation party” in Yokohama’s Chinatown. The meeting went well and we were able to confirm all members are still in good health. The club “Camshafters” are still in existence.
After Chinatown we went to “IG” bar in Honmoku.

1969 Camaro Z28 が足廻りとエンジンの修理から戻ってきたのは昨年のHCS前。
修理をお願いしてから約 2年が経っていました。
そもそもエンジンのオバーホールをお願いしたつもりだったのですが
それにしては随分時間が掛かるな〜と思っていたら
何と Body を残しほとんど直っていたのです。
今まで動きの悪かったヘッドライトカバー、 動かなったヒーターファン、
リアガラス用曇り防止デフォッガー、 おまけにアクセルを踏むと開く仕組みなっているが
動かなかった Cowl Induction もアクセルを踏むとバーを開くし、 まさかこの様に直って戻ってくるとは
思っていなかったので驚きました。
こうなると Body とインテリアも何とかしたくなってきますが　
ここで Body を綺麗にすると乗る機会が減ってしまうのでしばらくはこの状態で乗る事にしました。

This 1969 Camaro Z28 returned just before last year’s HCS after receiving service on the suspension/undercarriage and engine.
It was sent to the shop to get worked on about 2 years ago.
Initially it was just an engine overhaul that was planned but even so I figured it would take some time to complete. When it came back, aside from the body, just about everything was worked on and fixed up.
Before it was sent to the shop, things like the headlight covers, heater fan, rear glass defogger as well as the intake Cowl Induction on the hood when you open the throttle were not working properly or barely worked at all. However, I was so surprised when it was returned because everything was in working order again.
All that’s left now is to refresh the body and interior but until there’s time for that to happen I decided to drive the car in this current condition as it’s such a blast to drive.

Area-1 1F に展示中の 3台 (CB750 2台, CB500) と 2F に展示中だった 3台 (Triumph 2台, Digger) を入れ替えました。

We recently changed the display of the bikes inside Area-1. The three bikes on the first floor (2 CB750s and a CB500) were replaced with three bikes from the second floor (2 Triumphs and a Digger).

On January 3, 2016 VW Car Club “One Low” celebrated their 30th Anniversary during the New Year with a group picture in front of the garage.

25th HCS 2016

12月4日 (日) に開催が決定した事はお知らせしたと思います。
会場周辺の問題は変化なく今回も今まで同様 “SHIZUKANI” です。
2年前の “Be Calm, Not Loud – Shizukani,” から始まったキャンペーン、
昨年は “Save The Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show”
今年は “Respect Our Kulture – Mamoroh!” 　
“自分達の大切な Kulture は自分達で守ろう – Mamoroh!”　
これは HCS だけに限らず世界中にあるこの Kulture を
自分達で守り育てようと言う意味です。
また “Mamoroh!” には “ルールを守ろう” というのもあります。
今年も 1年に渡りこのキャンペーンを進めて行きます。
皆様のご協力を宜しくお願いします。

As you may have heard by now, the date has been set for HCS2016 on Sunday December 4, 2016 at Pacifico Yokohama. The issue surrounding the perimeter of the event area has not changed and we will continue the “SHIZUKANI” campaign this year again.
Two years ago, “Be Calm, Not Loud – Shizukani” was the campaign we started.
Last year was did “Save The Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show”.
This year, our campaign slogan will be “Respect Our Kulture – Mamoroh!” The Japanese word MAMOROH means to honor and protect or abide by the rules, hence respect the kulture we care about.
We will carry this campaign through the year until our show in December.
We hope you will also promote this campaign.

On Jan. 2 we had our annual first day of business opening for the new year with lucky fortune grab bags. There were so many people that came to our shop, thank you very much.

 

向いの仮駐車場も満車になっていました。

The temporary parking lot across the street was also full.

 

整理券をお配りし順番にご購入頂きました。
どこかの福袋は一番目の人が全部買って行った！
早くから並んだ２番目の方が何も買えなかったと言う事でした。

We handed out numbered tickets and customers waited in line for their turn to make a purchase.
I heard somewhere that the first person in line purchased all of the grab bags! There was nothing left for the second person in line even though they came early.

 

Area-1店内ではこちらもお正月恒例の福引きです。
空くじ無し！今回のMQQN賞は時計でした。

そして今年2016年はMQQNEYES 創業30周年、横浜元町にショップが出来てから30年です。
大井競馬場で始まったSCNも30周年、HCSは25周年、何かと色々とある2016年です。
今年もパーと行きましょう！！

There was no empty space! This year’s MQQN Prize was a clock.

This year for 2016, MQQNEYES celebrates its 30th anniversary in Japan. It’s been 30 years since the first shop was established in Motomachi, Yokohama. The first SCN was also held at Ooi Horse Racetrack 30 years ago and HCS celebrates its 25 anniversary. There will be a lot of activity in 2016.

Let’s have a blast this year!!

Although we make 30 this year, Flat-4 will celebrate their 40th anniversary this year!! They have been a business leader for 40 years. Not only in Japan but worldwide. Amazing!
