| For the first time in Europe a Rat Fink Reunion was held in Sweden
July 17 2004. Hosted by MOONEYES SWEDEN and its owner Hank. It all took place in the riverside-village of Nas in the central parts of the country. Advertising started early and right away there proved to be a big interest and demand for this meet. Two weeks before the meet the campground was fully booked so we got an indication to where this was going. So when the gate finally opened the cars came and came and came... |

| Close to 400 cars showed up and around 1400 people, not bad for a first time out. 10 pinstripers came to show their work, most of them from Finland. (With them came Rat Finks cousin Rat Finn...) The beer tent who also served Mexican BBQ quickly filled with people who enjoyed the nice summer weather. (The weather had been bad for a long time so we where really lucky there.) Sun, Hot Rods, Customs, live Rock'n Roll and a cold Coronas, -I mean what else do you need? |

| As the day past on and peoples for heads got red from the sun, stripers
got their lines down, event shirts got sold out, ( as usual -GREAT WORK WILDMAN ! ), people started looking really happy (maybe it had something to do with all the beer that they sold...). Even the locals, who I never thought was interested in cars, was seen hanging out in the beer garden with a big smile on their faces. As the afternoon turned into evening the car show turned into a Rat Fink Rock'n Roll Party. People came back after taking a brake on the near by beach in their shiny dancing shoes, THE PARTY WAS ON! |

| The first band came on at 9 PM and the last didn't
stop 'til after 1 AM. Zapata Oil, Slap tones and Bob Roberts &
the Fleet liners made impossible to stand still inside the old barn. And in the dusk-light not much after sunset (this is Sweden, sun sets at 11.30 PM in the summer) People left only after beggin us to do it again next summer. Needless to say - of course we'll do it again next summer ! Hank/MOONEYES SWEDEN |
