Hello, GOSHU here from
MOON GARAGE

This US Trip Report is about the Southern California CHOP MEET & Custom
Motorcycle Show.
The event was held at a ski area so unlike other events that are held
in Long Beach or close to town, this one is far away. Being a first timer
and not knowing what to expect, we went to check it out.

On the road we headed north until the road and scenery literally changed
into a barren desert-like setting. Then the scene turned from valley to
mountains with the road leading into a Winding Road. Just as we thought
that maybe we missed a turn or went too far, we arrived at the event space.

A parking lot area that was close to the ski-lifts of the ski park was
where the event was held. There were 4 rows of vendors lined up and on
the other end was a restaurant and bar with 3 live bands scheduled to
perform. The backdrop of the stage for the band was a snowless ski slope
and ski lift.
The event was scheduled until 9PM so there were more and more people showing
up throughout the day. We arrived earlier in the day so it wasn't as crowded
but made moving around and seeing everything at the event more pleasant.
Of course, MOONEYES USA was there with a booth too. MOON Oil Tanks, MOON
Oil Temp Gauges, the new Finned Point Cover for HDs, Finned Air Filter,
Old School Tail Light are just a few of the items setup on display by
Yoshi-san and his Moon-Equipped Triumph as well.

Here are just a few of the cool bikes that were
at the event.

Real nice Blue paint and polished up is Four Aces Cycle Supply's Blue
HD.
Last yearsf YOKOHAMA HOT ROD CUSTOM SHOW guest Hippy Killer Garage/Kutty's
newly built Iron Sport.

Nice CB Chopper brought by Duane Ballard Custom Leather where Kuttyfs
Leather seat was made.

DiCE Magazine had a booth with a racer CB and Triumph with bright colors

Look at the design in the paint of this Pan Head by TOP SHELF CUSTOMS.

Slims Fab, Fabricated this HD like Frankenstein??? on display.

This beautifully built Flatheads was displayed among the Show bike entry
corner, nice built by backyard builders.

Some Japanese bikes made small and compact were getting a lot of attention,
like this YAMAHA.

This Event turned out to be good show for me with lots of people to meet
and say Hi and more things to look at.
There I was able to meet some guest of last yearsf YOKOHAMA Hot Rod Custom
Show, Sinners members, Hi-Bond Modified's Rico, as well as Chopper Dave.

Plus more shops/vendors to look at their bikes and stuff were there like,
Sleads and Suckles, Cycle Cosmetics, Nostalgia Ranch, CALI Choppers and
Baxter Motorcycle.
Apparel venders were onhand as well such as Harpoon with his T-shirts,
Lucky 13 Apparel and After Hours Choppers.
There were others like Avenger Helmets, a jewelry company called BAD ASS
RING, sunglasses maker HOVEN and many others.
It was quiet in the morning, but later on I heard there was one incident
where someone rode their bike up onto the ski slope! Police came soon
after but the bike rider fled the scene.
All in all, the event was nice to look around, small scale compared to
swap meets in the city but it was well worth the trip and the people that
were there were top notch.
See you again!
