MOONEYES
Signs & Pinstriping Studio opened in 1989 in Goshoyama,
Yokohama. Back in the day, Kustom Kulture nor plain old
Custom wasn't a daily term used in the Japanese language.
Currently it is in conjunction with the woodie works,
or commonly referred to as the MOON Koubou, but back in
the day when it just started, it was just literally signs
and pinstriping. Since WILDMAN Ishii is such a famous
pinstriper, it is still misthought of being just a signs
and pinstriping studio. But no, no no. Pinstriping is
only a fraction of what WILDMAN does all year round. He
does maybe let's say about 200 or so pieces a year, and
many of them include gold leaving, designs, signs, and
pinstriping. Here are a few of his recent and/or famous
works.

Recently
the Sticker industry has gone thru major technological
breakthroughs, and have become much cheaper to sticker-make
your signs. But what good is a sign when you can't get
people to stop in awe to look at them? This dry cleaner's
van was striped, gold leafed, and was painstaking, but
was made into such prominent art! Anything and Everything
becomes art when WILDMAN Ishii works on it!

As we
said earlier, this is only a few of the most famous or recent
pieces he has done. Over the 15 years he's been doing this,
WILDMAN has probably done over 2000 pieces of art. The strangest
piece was a Yakiniku Parlor sign, or a whole house, he said.
He painted a whole house! Anything from houses, signs, doghouses,
refridgerators, and cars, just even a one point piece will make
you love that thing a hudred time more than you used to. This

Other
than all the car shows, WILDMAN Ishii travels all throughout
Japan taking orders on pistriping this and that. He is
also at MOONEYES AREA 1 every first Sunday of each odd
month, doing a demonstration session. Check the below
