\r\nOn last weekend I went to The New Year Meeting at Odaiba Tokyo Japan. Every January this event is held at cold winter day that makes me wonder If I should go but once out there its always very enjoyable event for the old classic cars.

\r\nThe first time I went to this event it was snowing at Prince Hotel Parking Lot about 30 years ago. Back than, there were more classic Euro cars that were here in Japan for a long time. Now days its rare to see that kind of cars.

\r\nThe American cars increased in the late 80s with increase in importing happened when Japan was in Bubble Economics. The dream of owning American cars became true for many but truth is that its hard to own in Japan with mechanical troubles, unsuitable road situation and high maintenance cost. All negative feature lead to releasing American cars for many. That's why there are only few entrant of American cars in event in recent years. The American car boom in Japan was like a flew hot for a short while.

\r\nOn with different subject, there are many American cars in Japan that I feel sorry for. We should return those cars back to USA. That's why we sent MOONEYES Astro Van, 50 Woody and Kannon V8 Crown<\/a>. They have less worry about rain and more comfortable for sure.

\r\nAnyway while American cars get less, the old Domestic cars are increasing. Old means different depending on your age. Now days what we consider not OLD is entering and people are there to recognize as old.

\r\nThose cars has increased in numbers. Old Domestic car parts are also seem to be more easier to get with number of seller at Swapmeet has increased and chances has increased in these 30 years of this event and this event has helped in many ways to continue the old classic car culture to live on.

\r\nBefore opening MOONEYES Shop in MOTOMACHI, I used to have swap booth out at this event. There were no other event to sell USA products except toy event called wonderland.

\r\nNow days I see many people who will not buy the necessary parts if the price doesn't meet. They make me wonder if they really want to fix the car and drive it. I will buy it if its necessary to fix and cant be sure when I will see the same parts again.
