is about Cherry Blossom viewing (HANAMI) and Street Car Nationals (SCN).
The flower viewing around Yokohama has ended but the 26th Annual SCN was held on Sunday, April 29 in Odaiba, Tokyo under perfect weather conditions.
It's been a while since we've had warm sunny skies and I think everyone happily enjoyed the day at their leisure.
With flower viewing, alcohol has steadily become more of a problem, more of a social issue and even within the SCN event area there were a lot of people drink beer and alcohol.
At all MOONEYES events, we always ask the food vendors inside our event space not to sell alcohol. The main reason being, it's a car/bike (drivers) related event and we don't want to mix the two. But of course, we cannot prevent people from bringing it in themselves.
As long as the drivers are not drinking, there should be no problem.
I noticed several groups that were drinking from first thing in the morning. These groups were done by the afternoon.
The weather on Sunday was superb. There were a lot of interesting cars to see. It was a great show and a great day.
Although, there were some problems unfortunately.

Luckily it didn't turn into a large brawl as the two adults settled it, however initial stages when the two first started, one side had his friends rush up backing him then the other side had his friends rush up behind him. It seemed inevitable. I can assure you that at least one of the sides had been drinking.
A drunk driver behind the wheel, inside the event area, is a sure possibility to cause trouble or worse, hurt someone. So I want to stress to everyone, please, if you are the driver, be responsible and do not drink alcohol.
After an incredible day of fun and happiness, a careless act, especially by a drunk driver, will ruin everything and possible alter the future in a big way.
Yes, people drinking is a daily thing. At night they are everywhere. At HANAMI in Spring, BBQs at the river and even SCN, when did heavy drinking get so common in broad daylight?
You might think, "Who are you to say Heavy Drinking?" Yes sure, I have done the same heavy drinking but never got behind the wheel after any amount of drinking.
At night I might have a drink but never drive after.
Other than that, there were no problems that I recall.

SPEEDHUNTERS.COM

春と言えば、お花見とストリートカーナショナルス(SCN)。 is about Cherry Blossom viewing (HANAMI) and Street Car Nationals (SCN).

春と言えば、お花見とストリートカーナショナルス(SCN)。
