It has became a legend as not just for development of new parts but also the fact that MOONEYES Dragster became famous for breaking records of racing and later traveled around Europe with Revell Inc. promotion.

This kit even had Japanese instruction and was sold in Japan. I wonder who had bought and built them back them. Revelle 1\/24 plastic model series had many fun car like Micky Thompson's Attempt 1, Ed Roth's Outlaw and Beatnik Bundit etc. Some of kits are reproduced but MOONEYES Dragster is not and that why its rare.
