\r\nWe went to the \"Orange Crush\" Demolition Derby at the 2008 Orange County Fair (OC Fair). For those of you that may not know, a Demolition Derby (also known \r\nas simply 'Demo') consists of a bunch of modified cars that circle around attempting \r\nto crash into the other competitors while dodging others. The last vehicle running \r\nwins. They cars are normally mid-sixties and later, full-size American cars, excluding \r\ncertain makes depending on the Demo rules.
\r\nCars such as Chrysler Imperials are normally not permitted because of the huge \r\nsize and weight advantage, I guess.
\r\n
\r\nUp until this point, I've seen all kinds of car shows and events and have always \r\nthought these demos were too far away to see. I've always thought they were held \r\nway out in the country side or in the middle of nowhere. To my surprise, they \r\nare held all over the US and right here in Southern California. It was quite an \r\nenjoyable experience!
