Kagoshima is on the southwestern tip of Kyushu and is the most southern prefecture of all Japan.\r\n \r\nLQQK Award: 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS\r\nBig Block Chevy, Bill Jenks Hand-grinded MOON Cam.\r\nThe Chevy motor is quite different when comparing stock cam and high lifted cam. Having a cam with just a slight lift will noticeably create a very strong sound. Although this Chevy is hard pressed against MOPARs, \r\nbecause MOPAR is very popular now in Japan and US as well, this 1970 Chevelle shined bright at the show.\r\n \r\n1970 Chevy Chevelle SS is my favorite too! Go Chevy!\r\n \r\nDon't forget, a MOON Racing Cam is grinded by the hands of MOON's long term Master Grinder and Craftsman, Bill Jenks. His camshafts are built to specs and still available.\r\n \r\nZQQM Award: 1988 Toyota Hilux Pickup \r\nI used to own a Toyota Hilux like this a long time ago but my truck was a bit older, with round eyes (headlights). But the cab was small because of Japanese spec. I always wanted to have US cab and US bed, but was unable to do it.\r\nIn US Spec, the cab is a little longer (like the Japanese spec 4WD cab). \r\nOh yes, American spec is big!\r\nIt was an envious feeling to see such a vehicle. It's such an old Toyota Hilux but very clean it looks wonderful!\r\n \r\nGQQD Award: 2003 Suzuki Lapin (base) '70 Chevy Suburban-Look\r\nAt first glance, it's really an early 70's Chevy Suburban. It was given the name of \"Lapurban\" by Mr. Tokita, owner of Vannuys Automotive SHZ.\r\n\r\nCQQL Award: 1959 VW Type I Beetle\r\nThis VW T-1 is way too cool! When I first saw this at MOONEYES Area-1 parking lot, it was shocking just how cool it looked. It sits very low to the ground with vintage cal-look wheels and retains stock bumpers and chrome trim. This time, no doubt, the CQQL Award winner.\r\n \r\nVQQM Award: 1979 Toyota Chaser\r\nDebuted at HSC 2006 and built by Vannuys Automotive SHZ\r\nDriven from Shimizu, which is about 160km (100 miles) from Tokyo, and without a trailer. But it's got a Small Block Chevy V-8, and a MOON CAM. Yes, producing that unique sound and exhaust pitch all the way here.\r\nAt this point in the awards, the domestic production cars are few and far between. Saluting the Owner's energy is the VQQM Award.\r\n \r\nCamshafters Award was goes to 1974 VW Type I (Volksrod style)\r\nI hope they participate in this year's HCS. \r\nIt's great to see once they complete.\r\n \r\nThe Deuce Factory Award: 1932 Ford Roadster Hi-boy \r\nThe season is just starting out, we'll see this one again.\r\nWith the morning showers, your participation is greatly appreciated.\r\n \r\nThere were eight Awards this year.
