Wildman went to shop with tendency to buy every thing with Cobra and Eyeball Logo on and not just weekend but even on week days during\nWork on the way back from business trip for painting signs. Quickly The stamp card was full of stamps, Wildman's face was recognized by Shop stuff and even if there was nothing to do, always had cup of coffee with full of milk and sugar for free, How wonderful and comfortable shop it was.(I was spending some then)\nBut back then, Boss Shige Suganuma was still working in other company. Since he only came to shop on weekends,\nit was not always easy to see him. One Sunday when Wildman went to shopping and bout poster of Mustang Boss was at register and asked question to Wildman, \"You are always buying Mustang and Cobra goods, do you have Mustang?\"\n\"Well I wish, but there are none around and don't have way to find one. It's a dream\" Wildman replied like most people do. Back then 60's Mustang was already 20 years old car, There were few dealer imported car turned to a beater and barely survived in good condition or partially restored cars which was priced too high. Either way there were not much of a choice and cars with reasonable price and condition was almost impossible to find. The vast numbers of Old USA cars were imported to Japan in private basis in 90's. To tell the truth Wildman really wanted to own 60's Mustang But it wasn't real thing to think as Wildman was too unsure if He should buy such an Old car.\nPlus back then more then 10 years old car had to pass the Japanese Car Inspection (JCI) every year, which was costly and major hustle for keep owning an old cars.\nThen BOSS said \"If you really wanted to have old Mustang,\nDo you want me to get one for you?\" which was totally not understandable. What does he mean by get one for you? Wildmans head was filled with Question mark.\nWhat he meant was find car in USA and imported to Japan on\nPrivate import basis which was unbelievable to import real car not like importing mini dicast cars. Back then importing car on private basis and have it registerd with numbers and drive it around was only done by some crazy rich people importing very expensive cars like Ferrari and not thing for common ordinary people. ( at least in Wildmans idea) As Boss was talking seriously, some how Wildman was getting serious too, The talk went along and out came the Auto trader and some magazine from USA Which revealed the price of Mustang in USA West coast market?\nIt was cheap, cheaper then expected and so cheap that Wild man thought\"is that all?\". In 1986 in Japan '64 -'70 Mustang was about $18,000 for good condition cars and $12,000 for even bad condition cars because it was old and rare. But in USA, good looking cars were traded in $5,000 to $7,000. (Beater was about $2,000)Back then the currency rate was \\160 to $1, So $7,000 class car can be bout with less then \\1.5 million yen. Of course this man who knows nothing in early 20s\u2019thinks he can buy the car now and didn't realize fee for importing like freight and registration were not added.
