So I present my last segment to another favorite about coming to America!
We Love Good Food in USA!
As some of you may know, I truly love to eat. I've been on a diet since the beginning of the year and lost close to 30 lbs. Although I'm still watching my weight, I do take liberties when coming to USA. You just can't get this kind of food in Japan!
Arriving at LAX in the evening, the first stop we made was to eat dinner. I was asked whether I wanted to eat at a Japanese restaurant or go to a burger joint. I just got off a plane from JAPAN... why would I want to eat at a Japanese restaurant. Duh, of course we are heading for a burger joint! So that we did. This place I was not expecting... it could very well be my second home if I lived here. FATBURGER. Just hearing the name got my heart racing! We got inside and I was all smiles especially when I looked at the menu... XXXL Burger? Oh yes. I'll take one of those... Woohoo! What's this? There's a XXX Challenge? I'm up for that! The burger was no simple burger either. It came loaded! Cheddar cheese, bacon, egg, dressing, lettuce and a side of chili fries plus a drink. When it was brought out, it was larger than what I had imagined. It was hard to get a bite. This was going to be a battle. I was, well, before I knew it... done. :)
Conquered! It was delicious too. I will definitely come back here again.
Even on the second day, we started with food. Eating didn't stop during this trip and nothing stopped us from eating. It was fantastic! My favorite stop every time I am here in USA is next door to MOONEYES USA. Hungry Boy in the morning, Hungry Boy at lunch, any time of the day I don't mind coming here. For breakfast we had their superb French Toast. For anytime other than breakfast, I love their Pastrami Sandwich. So good.
During my trip this time, we eat at all kinds of places. Even McDonald's is different here. They had an Angus Burger! In Santa Maria we ate a huge steak at Shaw's Restaurant. Tacos, nachos from Roadhouse Grille had a huge steak too. Hot dogs, waffles, omelets OH MY! In three days I gain about 6 lbs. That's ok. It was worth it!
Swap Meet

At the swap meet I was able to actually browse around while taking pictures. Suddenly I got the urge to buy! Yes! Do it! Buy it! I could hear a voice in the back of my mind reasoning with me. Now is my chance. There might not be any opportunities later and you won't find it in Japan that's for sure... so I did it! It was a spontaneous reaction to the excitement of being there at the moment in that spot. Awesome!
This was truly an unforgettable experience. I now understand what them mean when someone says it was priceless. The three days spent here on this trip are exactly that. Priceless. I hope to have the chance of doing this again soon. Thank you for reading my US trip report and hope you enjoyed the photos from my trip.
