MOONEYES Dragster

"MOONEYES Dragster"
Introducing MOONEYES Dragster. But that's not our Dragster. Its MOONEYES Dragster made by James from Texas, USA.

This Dragster frame is actually made of wood, WOOD! Engine is fake too for exhibition use, but its precision is amazing and specially the roll cage at rear end. Unbelievable technology.

By the way, you may wonder what happened to our MOONEYES Dragster after crashed. The new frame is under construction in Dode's Hobby Shop at suburb of San Diego, USA. Dode is one of the founder of Dragmaster Chassis, and has been making Dragmaster frame from 50s. His shop is in his house and our new frame is upside down position in picture.

Front hub is made by CNC and when its ready the front end will be finished and every thing will be bolted together to check on any insignificance. Then new frame will be sent to powder coat. And all parts will be assembled for final finish, which will take a while.

If everything goes well may be seen at "NHRA Hot Rod Reunion" at Bakersfield, CA on October.

We took all apart and found out that rear drive shaft had spleen twisted as in picture. Race car needs to be taken apart for check as it cannot tell what kind of stress and where its effect is resulting to. It can be very dangerous if you don't check and know your race car.

And the frame which has been hit is this one. We kept it as souvenir.
