Tuesday went to Las Vegas. When I was buying a cup of coffee at Starbucks in Las Vegas airport, Lady at counter told me to sign on the list she had. I didn't know what was going on and lady at next register said "Do you have this pass?" pointing out the ID for worker in airport terminal I said "NO, I don't" then She said "you don't have to sign then". Then I noticed that because I was wearing Dickies pants and Work jacket on may be she thought I was working in airport terminal. Dickies are affordable, comfortable and very convenient but I have to have second thought.
One more thing on the way back from Las Vegas, I got to the Airport early so I changed to one hour early flight to Orange County, CA.
When I woke up the airplane was dropping its altitude for landing, Tire hit the ground with big noise but airplane increased altitude and took off again. It was a "Touch and Go". Later the announcement said speed was too high for landing and had to do it again but I was amazed how passenger plane can increase its altitude sharply. It felt pretty well actually, good experience. The second time landing was cheered by everyone's handclap in airplane. But this touch and go made 40 min delay and didn't make much difference with original flight plan.
Now story changes to progress of MOONEYES Dragster and Bonneville Modified Roadster please check out picture, they had a little progress. In this pace MOONEYES Dragster will run on October NHRA Hot Rod Reunion, Modified Roadster will run on June El Mirage.
By the way, Monday Mr. Shin Mukai of Toa International in Japan and VW Drag Race related Mr. Pei Watanabe dropped by MOONEYES USA.
And in Vegas, the owner of clothing store chain in OKINAWA, Japan "Atomics" who is young and spirited and former MOONEYES Staff Mr. YARA gave me ride to Las Vegas Airport. Thank you, I was able to experience "Touch and Go" with earlier flight.
Today in USA is Feburary14th Valentine's day. The rose and flowers are sold on street like in picture. |
