Speed Week 開催数日前に降った Storm の水が引かず SCTA は8/9(土)
2014年, 100th "World Speed Record" そして 66th Annual Bonneville National Speed Week (BNI) の中止を発表しました。
A storm passed a few days before Speed Week and with the water not receding the SCTA announced on 8/9 (Sat) that the 2014, 100th "World Speed Record" as well as the 66th Annual Bonneville National Speed Week (BNI) was canceled.
サインの後ろが Salt Flats.
本当なら一面塩で白く覆われていますが今日はこの通りです。
Behind the sign is the Salt Flats.
Normally the entire area is just covered with salt but instead it looked like this.
本来の湖になった Salt Flats
The Salt Flats was turned back into a lake.
SCTA の Patrol Truck, 4X4 ですがこんなです。
降った水はしみ込まないので乾くの待つだけです。
The SCTA Patrol Truck, although a 4x4 look like this.
The rainfall didn't go down so it was just a matter of waiting.
これが自分のクルマだと？？ でもレンタカーでも？？
Salt Lake City で借りるレンタカーには「塩の上には行かない事」と制約があります。
他州のレンタかーは知りません。
Is this a personally owned car? Maybe a rental car?
In Salt Lake City, rental cars have a "No driving on the salt" limitation policy. I'm not sure about rental cars from other states.
