まだ日本に Pinstriping という言葉が根付いていない1989年、MOONEYES Signs & Pinstriping Studioはスタート。日本で最初のPro Pinstriperが誕生した瞬間でもある。彼の名は、Hiro “Wildman” Ishii。Wildmanという名前は、 本場USAでLowbrow Artの巨匠でもある、Ed “Big Daddy” Rothから貰った。 あらゆるジャンルのオーダーにも変幻自在に対応する事が出来、 日本のみ ならず世界中のファンを魅了するパイオニアとして現在も活躍している。
MOONEYES Signs & Pinstriping Studio began in 1989 when the term pinstriping had not taken root yet in Japan. Hiro "Wildman" Ishii is known as the first professional pinstriper in Japan. He obtained the nickname "Wildman" from legendary American lowbrow artist and creator Ed "BIG DADDY" Roth. With the ability to adapt and change in style for any purpose, Wildman is not only famous in Japan but has fans worldwide and is still active on a daily basis.
Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 25周年特別企画 Harley-Davidson & VANS & MOONEYES スペシャルコラボ Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 25th Anniversary Special Planning Harley-Davidson & VANS & MOONEYES Special Collaboration 来年の25周年と節目となる YOKOHAMA HOT ROD CUSTOM SHOW に向けて、早くも特別企画が始動。 Vans の Slip On と Sk8-Hi が MOONEYES の手により、1年間かけてカスタムされる。 Next year is the 25th year for Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show. Although one year away, there's a special plan that starts now. Vans will make a Slip-on and Sk8-Hi with MOONEYES that will take a year to customize and plan.
また、Harley-Davidson、Vans そして MOONEYES が初のトリプル企画を同時進行。
MOONEYES の手によりVans仕様に Street 750を特別にカスタムし世界で一つだけHarleyが誕生する。
On top of that, Harley-Davidson, Vans Shoes and MOONEYES will get together up for a special triple team project. The base of this project is a Harley-Davidson Street 750 that's owned by Vans and custom pinstriped by Wildman.
24th Annual YOKOHAMA HOT ROD CUSTOM SHOW 2015 の Vans ブースでは、カスタム前の Street 750を Harley-Davidson Japan の協力により、特別展示。この車両が1年後どういうカスタムをされてくるのかご期待ください。
During the 24th Annual Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2015, stop over at the Vans booth to see the actual Street 750 from Harley-Davidson on display in this special area. Remember how it looks because in one year, we'll get to see the end result.
STREET750 CUSTOM PROJECT ハーレーダビッドソン本社デザインチームが選出した５つのカスタムショップによるSTREET750をベース車両にした究極のカスタムアート製作を競うプロジェクト。プロジェクトの監修には、HDMCにてシニア インダストリアルデザイナーを務めるDais Nagao氏を迎える。 「STREET BUILD OFF」において究極の１台を選ぶ決戦の場は、24th Annual Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2015です。さらに日本全国のH-D正規ディーラーで 製作されるSTREET750のカスタム車両から、 日本一のディーラーとその作品が選出されます。 The Harley-Davidson design team selected 5 custom shops to enter the Street Build Off of the new Street750 as a base. Senior Industrial Designer Dais Nagao has been leading the project overseeing the 5 shops in this challenge. One winner of the Street Build Off will be selected at the 24th Annual Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2015.
