1992年9月 Indyで開催されたUS Nationalsから今年で30年, Jim Dunn Racingとの関係がこんなに続くとはその時は考えてもいなかったし、
1992年当時37歳だった自分が67歳なるなんて考えてもいなかったけどこれが現実なんですね。気がついてみるとあっという間にとんでもない年齢になっているので皆さんも注意して下さい。
話が逸れましたがJim Dunn Racingをサポート出来なかった1998&1999年の２年間を除いて長きに渡る付き合いとなりNHRAと言うフィールドに居れるのも彼らあっての事と感謝しています。きっかけは岡崎健滋=Kenji Okazaki, Kenjiがスポンサーの話を持って来なければ始まらなかった事です。1992年9月〜1997年11月まで約5年間はMain Sponsorとして全戦参戦、1997年5月 MOPAR Nat’lsの初優勝、沢山の負けもあったけど良い事も沢山あり Kenji に始まりTeamを通して沢山のDriverとも出会え、色々あった30年間です。これもただSponsorとTeamと言う関係でなくFriendshipがあったから30年に渡る関係が続けられたのだと思っています。今年88歳になるJim Dunn, 元気で続けて欲しいです。
This year is the 30th year from the US Nationals that was held in September 1992 in Indy. At that time I haven’t imagined that the relationship with Jim Dunn Racing will continue this long. In 1992, I was 37 and I didn’t think that I will be 67 but this is the reality. If you realize, you will be surprised with your age, so be careful.
The story got off track but, except for the two years that we couldn’t support Jim Dunn Racing in 1998 & 1999, we have long relations, and we want to thank them because we can be in the field of NHRA. The beginning was Kenji Okazaki, if he didn’t approach us about the sponsorship, nothing started. For the 5 years from September 1992 to November 1997, we participated in all the races as the Main Sponsor. In May 1997, the first victory t MOPAR Nat’ls and there were many losses but there were more good things, and starting from Kenji, we have encountered many Drivers through the Team and it was the 30 years which many things happened. And this is not because we were just a Sponsor and Team, and because we had Friendship, we were able to continue this relationship. Hoping that Jim Dunn who will reach 88 this year will continue and have a healthy life.
