2022 Bonneville Speed Week.
雨で中止となりました。
昨年からほぼ1年間大して雨もなかったそうですが開催日8/06(Sat)の前夜豪雨に見舞われDry Lakeが本当の湖になってしまいました。水が引く事はなく、風が吹き飛ばしてくれるか自然に乾くしか方法はないのでレースは中止となりました。
レース開催の為に多大なる努力をしてくれたSCTA/BNI、全米各地、また海外の国々から参加していたレーサー、スペクテーター、その他関係者の方々の気持ちお察しします。
自然には逆らえませんね。

Unfortunately, it was canceled due to the heavy rain.
Last year there wasn't much rain throughout the year but, on the night before the day of August 6th(Sat), there was heavy rain, and Dry Lake turned into a real lake. The water never receded, and the only way it would dry out was if the wind blew it away, or to wait for it to fry out naturally, so the race was canceled.
Our hearts go out to the SCYA/BNI for all their effort for the race to be held, the racers and spectators from all over the U.S and abroad, and everyone else involved in this race.
We cannot go against nature.

金曜日の夜から降り続いた雨で土曜朝には湖に戻ってしまっていました。

過去に何回かひどい雨は経験してますが今回のは異常です。
こちらも異常気象です。
Californiaは Drought = 干ばつ で干上がったダム等のそこから色々な物が出て来ているそうです。

結局 Sunnyは今年も走る事ができず。彼のRookie Runは2023年に持ち越しとなってしまいました。
