| 6月11日(日） MOONEYES主催、都心で初のアウトドア イベント、Motorcycle Show & Swap Meetが東京 お台場（SCNと同じ場所）で開催されます。 会場も広いですが併設されている駐車場も広いですから、歩道等に駐車しないで駐車場を利用してくださいね。会場周辺は時節がら・場所柄 駐車禁止は特に厳しくなっているようです。駐車料はバイク1台1,000円、車(小型車）1,500円です。 ところで、イベントにはバイクで行くのが当然とは思いますが、色々な事情で車に積んで行くケースもあると思います。屋根つきの車で運ぶのがバイクに優しくBestだと思いますが、折角積んでいるカッコいいバイクが外から見られないのが寂しいですね。LOOKS的にも機能的にも、また演出的にも僕はトラックがBestだと思います。バイクを積んでハイウェイを疾走するトラックはカッコいいですね。それで積んでいるバイクがカッコいいとなお素晴らしい。 |

El CaminoやUSAトラックならパーフェクトですが、Toyota ハイラックス等のDomesticで十分。要は雰囲気をどう醸し出すかです。でももしDomesticを選ぶならこのDuallyが一番です。トヨタ ハイラックスをベースにしたDuallyですが、大きさも長さも見た目よりコンパクト、日本の道路事情にマッチした一台です。バイクを運ぶトラックにも気を使いましょう！ |
| Duallyの周りのモンキー、左側のは高校の時、上野のバイク屋で中古で購入以来、35年間も手元にあります。右のはUSAで購入しました。ところでこのDually、今も使っていますがこの写真の様に綺麗でないのが大変残念です。 |
| "Truck is best to move Motorcycle." On Sunday June 11th first outdoor Motorcycle "Show and Swap Meet" event at Odaiba Tokyo will be hosted by Mooneyes. The event space is big but also the public parking space is huge so please don't leave your car on street and get ticket by police. The street around out side is area where parking violation is strictly prohibited. Parking fee is 1,000yen for motorcycle and small Cars 1,500yen. By the way its best to go on bike for the event but if under certain circumstances transporting bike may be necessary. When in case of transporting the bike, I think the Trucks are the best by looks, function and to expose. Closed Van are nice to the bike but when you have bike to show, its best to be seen from outside. Trucks look cool on highway with bikes loaded. If that bike looks cool than it will be more cool. El Caminos and USA trucks are best but Toyota Hilux domestic trucks are good too. Its up to the effect to make the looks. But I recommend Dually as best domestic trucks. Dually is based on Toyota Hilux and its compact to match the Japanese road than it looks. Lets take care on trucks to load up the bikes too. Honda Monkeys around Dually, left one is bought at a bike shop in Ueno Tokyo when I was still in high school and I have it since than for 35 years. Right one is found from USA. By the way this Dually is still being used but too bad its not clean as in this picture. |
