MQQNEYES USA に着くと「古い日系 Hot Rodder の写真があるから見てくれ」との電話があり 待つ事数時間、 何とその日系の方は Frank Morimoto さんで何年前か忘れたけど Japanese-American Racers と言う企画を Cruisin 誌でやった時にインタビューさせてもらった人の物だったのです。 聞いてみると Estate Sale、聞き慣れない言葉ですが故人の所有物を遺族に代わって売る仕事に携わる人が これらの写真を見つけ Hot Rod で日系、 それなら MQQNEYES だろうと言う事で尋ねて来てくれたのです。 When I arrived at MQQNEYES USA in Santa Fe Springs, I received a phone call, "There are a lot of old Hot Rodder photos of a Japanese-American" was all I knew. While waiting a few hours, then learned it was Frank Morimoto. Some years back, I had interviewed Frank Morimoto for Cruisin Magazine as they did a series of articles on Japanese-American Racers and he was featured in it. Come to find out, there was an Estate Sale for his personal items and these photos were from it.
