通勤が往復約25km、プリウスだと1.5リッターもあれば十分ですが、El Caminoでは5リッターから8リッターは掛かりますので、これだけも十分セーブに役立ちますし、税金も安い。尚且つ環境に優しいわけですから、ハイブリッドカーはこれからどんどん増えるでしょうね。
もっとハイブリッドカーを増やすには、購買者にとって得になるような優遇処置があればいいと思いますが、そこは根が貧乏な我々日本人の考える事ですから、大盤振る舞いができない事が普及率が延びない理由かもしれません。2年間 自動車税免除とか、高速料金割引とか、大胆にやればもっと増えますね。
このプリウス エンジンは1,500ccですが、カローラより全然早いし、加速音もカローラみたいなチープな音がしません。物凄い（僕にとっては）ハイテクカーなので、全機能を使えるまでには相当時間が必要そうです。とりあえず走るに足りる必要最低限の作業は覚えましたが、最初はエンジンを掛けるのも戸惑った位です。車高を下げて、ホイル・タイヤを交換してDaily DriverのEco Rodになるのは何時の事でしょうか？そうなったらまた報告します。え？USDM？そういう手もありますね！もしセカンドカーを考えているならハイブリッドカーをお薦めしますよ！
No rain in rain season but rained heavy day after saying that, someday its too hot and another too cold, the weather has become odd in all over the world and not really sure what will happen in future. The Global warming has been said for a long time, recently I thought we should have one car nice to earth and bought TOYOTA Prius. My commute is about 15 miles round trip and Prius only need 1.5 liter of GAS, While my El Camino needs 5 literds to 8 liters, so that alone will make a big saving, tax is also cheaper and its good for environment. I guess Hybrid cars will increase in future. I really wanted to Hybrid Toyota Camry, but no available in Japan.
I think much better deals are necessary to increase Hybrid cars on street in Japan, One of the reasons for not much Hybrid cars used in Japan is that they can not offer too good deals, like 2 year car registration tax free or highway toll discount or something outstanding, They are basically not used to treating a person to a feast in Japan.
This Prius Engine is 1500cc (92ci) but its faster than 1500cc Carolla by far and acceleration doesn't sounds cheap either. For me its very High tech car and probably take long time to be able to use all functions. For now I have learned the minimum knowledge I need to drive the car but it took me while to figure out how to start the car. I wonder when it will be lowered with new wheel and tires to be a daily driver "Eco Rod". When it does I will report again. I recommend Hybrid car for anyone looking for second car.
