今回は土曜日に前回Anaheimで開催された"SPOCOM" showがHonoluluで開催され日曜日はPacific Rod & Streetが主催する”Ohana Weekend”がHonoluluにあるPrivate Museumで開催、日本からWildman & emiが、USAからはChico and meが参加しました。"Ohana Weekend"ではWildmanのLive PinstripingとMOONEYES Documentary "Craft of Speed"の上映会も行われました。
We departed from Long Beach Airport for the MOONEYES Dealer in Honolulu, HI, Pacific Rod & Street’s “Ohana Weekend.” Since Los Angeles Int’l Airport is always crowded, it’s much easier to travel using the local Long Beach Airport. It’s a smaller airport, so the planes are smaller as well. It might be a little troublesome on rainy days, but it’s convenient.
This time, the SPOCOM show—which was previously held in Anaheim—took place in Honolulu on Saturday, and on Sunday Pacific Rod & Street hosted “Ohana Weekend” at a private museum in Honolulu. From Japan, Wildman & emi joined, while Chico and I participated from the USA. At “Ohana Weekend,” there was a live pinstriping session by Wildman as well as a screening of the MOONEYES documentary "Craft of Speed".
Honoluluに到着、ちょうど同じ頃 DwayneもMauiから到着。そして2−30分後、Wildman & emiも日本から到着。時間のロスなく集合できました！
We arrived in Honolulu, and around the same time Dwayne arrived from Maui. Just 20–30 minutes later, Wildman & emi arrived from Japan, so we were all able to meet up without any loss of time!
“SPOCOM” Show
17:00開場、23:00に終了と言うと年配者向けでないイベントでさらに大音量の音楽が止む事なくかかっていると言う厳しい環境です。車はSPOCOMから想像できる車が主です。
安心できる車達です。
The doors opened at 5:00 PM and the event went on until 11:00 PM, making it less than ideal for older attendees. On top of that, loud music played nonstop throughout, creating quite a tough environment. As for the cars, most were just what you would expect from a SPOCOM show.
They were cars you could really feel comfortable with.
来場者は若者が98%、残りの2%がMOONEYESの高齢者でした。
The crowd was about 98% young people, with the remaining 2% being the older MOONEYES fans.
MOONEYES Hawaii Booth
Wildmanの周りは終始人だかりでした。MOONEYES HawaiiのTadが事前にPinstripeの注文を受けていたのでそれを消化するのに食事休憩も無く、ひたすら描き続ける事になったWildmanでした。
There was a constant crowd gathered around Wildman. Since Tad from MOONEYES Hawaii had taken pinstripe orders in advance, Wildman ended up spending the whole time working through them without even a meal break—just continuously painting.
SundayはMOONEYES Hawaii主催の"Ohana Weekend"です。Honoluluの街にあるPrivate Museumをお借りしDocumentary Filmの上映会とLive Pinstriping by Wildmanです。
Hawaiiはまだ安心できるMuscleが結構多くあります。
Sunday was "Ohana Weekend", hosted by MOONEYES Hawaii. It was held at a private museum in the city of Honolulu, featuring a screening of the documentary film and live pinstriping by Wildman.
Hawaii still has quite a good number of muscle cars you can feel at ease with.

Wildmanはここでも大忙し！土日でなんと20件のPinstripeをこなしました。両日共、食事取れず！
Wildman was super busy here as well! Over the weekend, he completed no less than 20 pinstripe jobs. On both days, he didn’t even have time to eat!

The MOONEYES documentary “Craft of Speed” was screened in Hawaii for the very first time, and many people came to see it.

”Ohana Weekend”も無事終わり一息
With Ohana Weekend successfully wrapped up, we finally took a breather.
月曜日朝、DwayneにHonolulu Int’l Airportまで送ってもらいHawaiian AirlinesのTerminalでチェックイン、こちらもスムーズでした。
On Monday morning, Dwayne drove us to Honolulu Int’l Airport, and we checked in at the Hawaiian Airlines terminal, which went smoothly as well.
夜19:30頃、Long Beach Airportに戻って来ました。時差が3時間あるのでHonoluluはまだ16:30位です。
Around 7:30 PM, we returned to Long Beach Airport. With the three-hour time difference, it was still around 4:30 PM in Honolulu.
なかなか雰囲気の良いAirportです。と、3泊4日の”Ohana Weekend”も無事に終了しました。See you!

Hawaiiで上映会を行った MOONEYES Documentary, “Craft of Speed”がイギリス, ロンドンのアレクサンドラ宮殿のビクトリア劇場で 10/02 に開催される "国際自動車映画賞=International Motor Film Award” の2025年 "最優秀長編ドキュメンタリー = Best Feature Documentary ”にノミネートされました。結果発表はThursday, October 2nd!
The MOONEYES documentary “Craft of Speed,” which had its screening in Hawaii, has been nominated for Best Feature Documentary in the 2025 International Motor Film Awards. The ceremony will be held at the Victoria Theatre in Alexandra Palace, London, on October 2nd. The results will be announced on Thursday, October 2nd!
