昨年は8月に開催されたBorn Free Show, 今年は例年通り6月に開催されました。
昨年ほとんど出会う事がなかった海外のからの人達ですが今回はインドネシア、タイランド、マレーシア、台湾、韓国、オーストラリア、ニュージーランド、そしてヨーロッパの各国々から来場していました。一見、平時に戻った様な感じがしますが中には感染し来場できなかった友人もいましたので決してコロナが無くなった訳ではないです。
今回で13回目になるBorn Free, 炎天下の中、パワー全開、そして外国人にもフレンドリーなイベントで参加した人たちは気持ち良く２日間を楽しめた思います。毎回、Best Invited Builder と Best Of Show の２アワードのバイクをHCSへ招待しています。
今年はBFで初めてTriumph ベースのChopper がBest of Show に選ばれました。
Last year, Born Free Show was held in August but, this year was held in June annually.
It was rare to see people from overseas last year but this time people from Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, Australia, Newzealand, and European countries participated. It seems like it is back to normal but, my friend got infected and couldn't come to the event, COVID-19 is not completely gone.
This time is the 13th time of Born Free, under the blazing sun, everyone was powerful, and it was a friendly event for foreigners so, I think people enjoyed this event for 2 days. Every time we are inviting 2 awards which are Best Invited Builder and Best of Show bikes to HCS.
This year Triumph-based Chopper won the Best of Show for the first time in BF.

2022 Born Free Best of Show は Tom Heavey built 1956 Triumph Pre-Unit が選ばれました。Born Free ShowでTriumphがBestに選ばれたの初めてです。HDに偏りがちになりますが分け隔て無くジャッジされる所がこのイベントの愛される理由の一つだと思います。

This is the first time that Triumph base won the Best of Show in Born Free.I think one of the reasons why people love this event is that it tends to be biased toward HD, but the judging is done without distinction.

さて2022年 BF#13から2台、実は昨年のBF#12で選ばれたBest of Show 2台、Best of Invited Builder 1台の3台はコロナの関係から昨年のHCSヘ運ぶ事が出来なかった為、今年の30th HCS 2022はこのBF#12の3台とBF#13の2台つまり5台も素晴らしいバイクがYokohamaで観れる事になります！お楽しみに！
